In past blogs I have talked about the untimely and tragic death of one of London’s most famous fashion icons, Isabella Blow. Isabella Blow was one of London’s most creative forces. She was known for her fabulously unique style as well as her fabulously unique personality. She was able to spot creative talent from a mile away, Alexander McQueen and Philip Treacy are two of her most accomplished proteges. Philip Treacy was not only one of Isabella’s proteges but he was also her friend. Their close friendship produced many of Blow’s hats, which is what she was most known for. Treacy’s creations were nothing short of out-of-this-world. Their talents and love for fashion changed the millinery world forever. Now you can learn more about this collaboration in the book, “When Philip Met Isabella.” This book is a great way to learn about millinery at its best as well as see a true friendship in narration.
