I have been wanting to do a different hat style for awhile. Something fresh, easy to wear that does not give one the dreaded “hat hair”.

Last fall, I was working on a hat that was made from sinamay (a sheer, natural hat material). I had it on the block and shot a few photos. A week later I spyed People Magazine’s cover with non other than Kate Middleton wearing the hat! It was around the time of the engagement back in November. A big believer in synchronicities, I thought it was time to be bold and debut a new style.

The Kate style is easy to wear. It can put on a comb and elastic band or headband. The fun thing about this style is that it can be trimmed many different ways and can be sold at different price points.
