I have been getting the question “Do ladies actually wear hats to the Breeder’s Cup?” Sometimes they do, sometimes not. However this year since the Breeder’s Cup is at Churchill Downs, which is the home of the Kentucky Derby, they will wear hats.
Covertside
What sort of hat would I recommend for the Breeder’s Cup Races, held on November 5 and 6th? I would recommend something small, such as Covertside. This black top hat with removable black feather flower and chenille dot veiling is a classic take on the riding hat.
Emmaline
A slightly larger hat would be Emmaline. This is a take on my classic Simply Elegant style. With the camel color hat with chocolate edging and feather trim, this hat would be easy to coordinate with most any outfit.
Nina
If you opt for a more daring color, I would suggest Nina. This purple cloche with navy edging is small and easy to wear. The feather flower is removable as well.
