It might seem a strange blog topic, but when you have the flu and feel awful, what is there to do but lay around and feel perfectly miserable? I’ve been in that situation all week. I can’t really work, but I’m tired of being in bed.
Some activities that can cure boredom and not be too taxing might be:
- Pulling out some historical/romantic dvd’s. I loved re-watching A&E’s “Pride and Prejudice” and had forgotten how beautifully it was filmed.
- Fashion magazines can be fun to look at.
- Get out some books and read to your heart’s content.
- Plan your next vacation.
- Pamper yourself with lots of good music, tea and fruit juices.
- Think of your goals for the year. What do you want to accomplish?
The flu will pass. Sometimes I like to think of it as a self-imposed vacation. We rush around so much. Our bodies finally say “enough” and force us to rest. I find this especially so after the holidays. We’ve gone at full throttle for a month and our system wants a break. Pamper yourself now, while you can. You’ve got a great excuse!
